Michael W. Smith. I have to admit, I felt I was probably the last person to review one of his albums, as I was never a fan of Michael’s. That is, until his release, Freedom. When I heard Freedom, I felt in my Spirit a freedom, release if you will. The album is completely instrumental, and I loved it! So, when his next release came out, Worship, I wondered if I would enjoy it as much. Oh, yes, I did…and waited impatiently for his latest release, Worship Again, in the fall of 2002. I was not to be disappointed. As a matter of fact, Worship Again reached gold in fewer than 90 days, faster than his initial Worship release.
Lord Have Mercy is absolutely convicting, and featuring Amy Grant just, well, felt right. Those who have no sin, cast the first stone. I Give You My Heart is my prayer. There She Stands is a beautiful tribute to our flag…our heart, our strength, our courage.
If you are looking for wonderful Christian music, and music that will lead you into the Throne Room, (as well as entertain you), then Worship Again, is for you. The various instruments will take your worship to higher grounds, while the lyrics will touch the Spirit within.
For those who were already fans of Michael’s, he’s done it again! And, for those, like me, who weren’t, give this newest release a try; I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Whatever happened, Michael, I pray you continue in this direction. I enjoy being entertained, but entertainment comes second to being blessed, and you have certainly blessed me with your latest release, Worship Again.
