Paul Colman Trio, the Australian Wonder Band

Our
first gig was a Youth event at a zoo, a rally they have around Melbourne
called Youth Alive. When we did a sound check, I think it was an ostrich
or an emu ran into an electric fence because it was so distraught from all
the noise! It died. From that moment on we knew we had something special.
We knew our music would have an impact on the whole world around us.

We met Third Day in Australia in January 2001, and they just said, "Would
you like to come on the road with us." And we're like hey, what do you
think fellas, should we do that, and we're like, no worries, let's do
that. So, we come over, and after the first four months, we played to
nearly a quarter million people! I think that tour was one of the
great leverages why record companies signed us, because they knew that it
would give us a great way to be introduced in the United States.
Imagine this, Paul Coleman, is a good looking
man. Close your eyes and imagine he's a good looking man. He shaved his
cheeks, his top lip, his bottom lip, and down to his chin, but that line
of his jaw down to is throat is all whiskery. Paul's a systematic guy, and
when you run out of battery you end up with what's left
